Brecciated Indian Amethyst Polished Tower
This brecciated amethyst freeform is a highly textured specimen featuring angular quartz fragments cemented within a rich iron-stained matrix. The piece displays a complex internal network of fractures and healed zones, with deep purple amethyst contrasting against warm reddish-brown mineralisation.
The polished finish reveals sharp fragment boundaries alongside translucent quartz sections, creating depth, contrast, and a visually dynamic structure from every angle.

Geological & Scientific Notes
This specimen formed through brecciation, where solid quartz fractured under tectonic or thermal stress. The resulting angular fragments were later cemented together by silica-rich fluids, which recrystallised to form a solid mass.
The distinctive reddish-brown areas are caused by iron oxide mineralisation (likely hematite or iron-rich inclusions) deposited during or after fracture healing. These iron-rich zones highlight fracture boundaries and add strong visual contrast to the amethyst.
Purple coloration is due to trace iron impurities within the quartz structure, activated by natural irradiation. Variations in tone across the piece reflect changes in iron concentration and exposure conditions during formation.
Small cavities and uneven zones visible within the structure are natural features of incomplete healing or mineral infill variation, further emphasising the geological history of the piece.
Why This Piece Stands Out
Strong high-contrast brecciation with visible angular fragments
Distinct iron-rich matrix adding red/brown tones (less common, more premium look)
Combination of amethyst + smoky quartz zoning
Complex internal structure with depth from every angle
Balanced, display-friendly freeform shape
Care
Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
Store separately to prevent surface scratching
