Amethyst & Agate Druzy Tower

This captivating amethyst tower features soft lavender tones blended with clear to milky quartz, enhanced by natural banded agate formations and sparkling druzy which has been polished. The polished exterior contrasts beautifully with the raw crystalline interior, where clusters of tiny quartz crystals shimmer within natural cavities. Distinct agate banding and warm golden inclusions create a striking, organic pattern, making this piece truly one of a kind.

Geological & Scientific Notes
Amethyst is a variety of quartz formed within cavities in volcanic rock, where silica-rich solutions crystallise over time. The soft lavender tones in this piece suggest relatively low iron content and gentle natural irradiation during its formation.

This tower also features agate, a banded variety of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), visible in the smooth, layered sections and flowing patterns. These formed earlier in the crystal’s development as silica deposits built up in fine layers along the cavity walls.

The sparkling polished druzy are composed of tiny quartz crystals that formed later, lining open spaces within the stone. The coexistence of druzy quartz, solid crystalline amethyst, and banded agate indicates multiple stages of mineral growth, resulting in a complex and visually dynamic specimen that showcases different forms of quartz in one piece.
