Brecciated Indian Amethyst Polished Tower
This brecciated amethyst tower features a dense, fine-grained quartz matrix filled with dispersed amethyst fragments and mineral inclusions. Unlike more open brecciated structures, this piece displays a tighter, more compact formation, giving it a rich, speckled appearance with subtle flashes of purple throughout.
The polished finish enhances the natural surface texture, revealing micro-fractures, reflective inclusions, and variations in translucency that create depth under changing light.

Geological & Scientific Notes
Brecciated amethyst forms when quartz and amethyst are fractured due to geological stress, then naturally re-bonded by silica-rich fluids. In this piece, the smaller fragment size and dense matrix suggest multiple phases of fracturing and re-cementation, resulting in a more uniform, consolidated structure.
The reddish-brown colouring is caused by iron oxide inclusions, which can coat or fill micro-fractures during later stages of mineralisation. The scattered purple zones are amethyst fragments, coloured by trace iron within the quartz lattice that has been altered through natural irradiation.
Fine reflective points across the surface are likely caused by micro-crystalline quartz faces and fracture planes, which catch light and create a subtle sparkle effect.
Why This Piece Stands Out
