Amethyst druzy half moon
Amethyst Half Moon Druzy
This beautifully cut amethyst druzy specimen is shaped into a smooth half-moon form, showcasing a sparkling field of delicate crystal points. The surface features soft lavender tones that gently shift into near-clear quartz, creating a subtle, calming gradient. The curved profile highlights the natural formation while the polished outer edge reveals layered agate banding along the base.

Geological & Scientific Notes
Amethyst is a variety of quartz formed from silica-rich fluids within cavities of volcanic rock. The soft pastel tones seen in this piece indicate lower iron content and varying levels of natural irradiation during formation.
The druzy surface is made up of tightly packed crystal points that formed inward from the cavity walls of a geode. These finer crystals create a shimmering, sugar-like texture that reflects light beautifully from multiple angles.
The outer edge and base display natural banded agate and quartz matrix, with earthy inclusions and mineral variations. These bands represent successive layers of mineral deposition over time, offering a glimpse into the stone’s geological history.

Condition
- Natural crystal surface with visible inclusions and matrix
- Variation in crystal size, clarity, and colour across the surface
- Natural banding and earthy mineral tones along the base
- Polished edges with a raw druzy crystal face
- No visible dyeing or artificial enhancement
Care Instructions
- Handle gently to avoid damaging delicate crystal points
- Clean using a soft brush or compressed air
- Avoid water exposure as moisture can settle between crystals
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve colour
- Store separately to prevent scratches or impact damage
