Amethyst Druzy Butterfly Carving (Pale Variant)
This is a carved amethyst druzy specimen shaped into a butterfly, featuring a soft, pale colour palette. The wings are covered in a dense layer of small, natural crystal points with a subtle champagne-lilac tone, set on a visible quartz matrix base.

Geological & Scientific Notes
Amethyst is a variety of quartz formed from silica-rich fluids within cavities of volcanic rock. In this lighter example, the reduced iron content and/or lower radiation exposure results in a much softer, more translucent coloration compared to deeper purple amethyst.
The druzy surface consists of numerous small crystal points (euhedral terminations) that formed inward from the cavity walls. These micro-crystals create a light reflective surface, giving the piece its subtle sparkle when exposed to light.
Visible matrix material and faint mineral staining (iron oxides) can be seen along the edges and base, indicating natural formation conditions.
